Illinois College Esports recently hosted the 2024 Esports Unified Spring Championship LAN in King Fieldhouse, Jacksonville. Over the course of two days, the college's esports teams achieved significant success with eight podium finishes and two victories by current students.

The League of Legends 5v5 team, consisting of Zachary Dimond, Ekko Nguyen, Noah Horsman, Carlos Cortes, and alumnus Tristian Fissette, emerged as champions.

Similarly, the Valorant 5v5 team composed of Noah Postin, Noah Horsman, Dwight Dujinevald, Austin Schaffer-Snider, and Josh Hallanger demonstrated excellent teamwork to defeat all opponents and secure the team title.

In addition to team successes, Noah Postin excelled individually by winning a 1v1 Valorant match against his opponent.

Looking ahead, the IC Esports program is set to prepare for next season and aims to be ready for the 2024-25 academic competition schedule in the fall.
