The Illinois College cheer and dance teams participated in the NCA & NDA Collegiate Cheer and Dance Championships held in Daytona Beach, Florida. Both teams successfully advanced from their preliminary rounds on Thursday to compete in the finals on Friday.
The cheer team took part in the Game Day Division II competition. They achieved a score of 80.47 during the preliminaries on Thursday, which allowed them to advance to the final day of competition on Friday afternoon. Performing outdoors, they improved their score to 82.22. The combined scores resulted in an overall rating of 81.7792, placing them sixth in their division.
Meanwhile, the dance team competed at the Dance Team Performance III level and finished seventh overall. After earning a score of 79.92 in Thursday's prelims, they made a slight improvement to conclude with an overall rating of 79.96 at the end of the event.
