The Illinois College cheer and dance teams are set to compete in the National Cheerleaders Association (NCA) & National Dance Alliance (NDA) Collegiate Cheer and Dance Championships. The event will take place from April 4-6 in Daytona Beach, Florida.
Both teams secured their spots in this national competition after advancing from the regional event held at Lindenwood University in August 2018. The Illinois College dance team is scheduled to perform at 9:03 a.m. CDT on Thursday morning, followed by the cheer team at 1:12 p.m. CDT that afternoon.
Thursday's performances will span across multiple divisions. The dance team will participate in the Dance Team Performance III level, while the cheer team competes in the Game Day Division II category. Depending on their performance scores, both teams have the opportunity to advance to Friday's finals, with specific times yet to be announced.
