Nathen Trachta achieved two individual victories for Illinois College, but Monmouth secured a 117-69 win in men's swimming during a dual meet held on Saturday at the Coultas Natatorium in Jacksonville, Illinois.
Trachta's triumphs came in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:54.61 and the 200 butterfly clocking at 2:11.88, leading the efforts for Illinois College. The Blueboys also saw success from Xaiver Applegate, who claimed first place in the 400 IM with a time of 5:16.05.
Illinois College is set to compete against Monmouth again next Saturday when they travel to Monmouth for a meet scheduled at 1:00 p.m.
