The Illinois College men's and women's swim team participated in the Midseason Championships hosted by Beloit College last weekend. During the event, Cooper Meyer from Illinois College set a new school record in the 3-meter diving category with a score of 176.10.

Meyer, who is serving as captain for the 2023-24 season, also competed in the 1-meter dive where he achieved a first-place finish with a score of 308.15.

Beyond his diving achievements, Meyer recorded personal bests in both the 100 and 200 breaststroke events, finishing with times of 1:07.24 and 2:34.23 respectively.

Head Coach Christopher Sykes expressed his pride in Meyer's performance over the weekend. "I am so proud of Cooper for setting the new school record as well as his accomplishments from this past weekend," said Sykes. "It's incredibly impressive since we do offsite training. In addition, he was still able to set personal records in the 1-meter, 100 & 200 breaststroke, and was a part of all four relays this past weekend. With all of the effort he puts in, he truly deserves these accomplishments."
