State Representatives Wayne Rosenthal and Mike Coffey are spearheading a holiday toy drive in collaboration with Toys for Tots to support children in need. Until December 20, new unwrapped toys can be donated at their Springfield district office, with pick-up arrangements available through the office.

“Toys for Tots is an excellent program run by the United States Marine Corps Reserve, and we want to help them achieve their goals this year,” stated Rosenthal. “A small gift can make Christmas special for children in need and I’m grateful to contribute to a great cause.”

Coffey added, “Children deserve to have a special Christmas, and the excitement of unwrapping gifts is one thing they always remember. We are collecting gifts to put a smile on a child’s face and let them know that someone is thinking of them on Christmas.”

The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation was established by the U.S. Marine Corps in 1991. It focuses on raising funds, purchasing toys, public education, and managing daily operations with the mission of providing hope during the Christmas holiday to disadvantaged children.

Details of the Holiday Drive include:

- Drop-off Location: E-1 Stratton Office Building, 401 S. Spring Street, Springfield, IL 62706

- Contributions: New Unwrapped Toys

- Dates: Now through December 20

- Call for Pick-up: (217) 782-8071

For further information, Rep. Rosenthal's office can be contacted at (217) 782-8071 or via his website reprosenthal.com.

Wayne Rosenthal represents Illinois’ 108th District covering Menard County and parts of Christian, Macoupin, Montgomery, and Sangamon Counties.
