Lady Blues suffer heavy loss to Aurora before starting conference play

The Lady Blues faced a tough defeat against Aurora University, concluding their non-conference schedule with a 94-52 loss. This result puts the Lady Blues at a 2-5 record for the season, while the Spartans improve to 5-1. The conference games are scheduled to start next week.

In this match, the Lady Blues struggled with their shooting accuracy, managing only 30.8% from the field and 29% from three-point range. In contrast, Aurora University's team excelled in their long-range shots, successfully converting 50% of their three-point attempts and scoring 17 threes in total.

Ashlyn Wightman stood out for the Lady Blues by achieving a double-double with 15 points, 11 rebounds, and five blocks. Anna McKee also made significant contributions with 14 points and four successful three-pointers out of eight attempts. Jayln Patterson added eight points and nine rebounds to her team's efforts.

The Lady Blues will return to play on Wednesday, December 4th at home for their Midwest Conference opener at 5:30 p.m.
