Rep. Nikki Budzinski, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing Illinois' 13th district since 2023, recently shared several updates via social media. Budzinski, a graduate of the University of Illinois and a resident of Springfield, addressed issues ranging from international mail delivery disruptions to climate-smart agriculture and fair wages for workers with disabilities.

On December 4, 2024, Rep. Budzinski informed her constituents about a temporary suspension of international mail delivery to Canada due to an ongoing strike by the Canadian Union of Postal Workers. She stated: "Attention #IL13! Due to an ongoing strike by the Canadian Union of Postal Workers, @USPS has temporarily suspended international mail delivery to Canada. My team and I are monitoring the situation, and I encourage folks to hold off on sending mail to Canada until it's resolved."

Later that day, she participated in the inaugural Solutions Summit organized by the SEEC Institute. On this occasion, she emphasized the significance of sustainable agricultural practices: "It was great to participate in the inaugural @SEECInstitute Solutions Summit to talk about the importance of climate smart agriculture and conservation practices to create a sustainable future for the farmers who feed and fuel our nation."

On December 5, 2024, Rep. Budzinski expressed her support for a new rule aimed at ending subminimum wages for workers with disabilities. She commended efforts made by relevant authorities: "Workers with disabilities deserve equal pay for equal work. I applaud @USDOL and @ActSecJulieSu for continuing to stand up for working people with this new rule to end the unfair, inhumane subminimum wage for folks with disabilities."
