The Illinois College women's basketball team faced a challenging game against Ripon College, resulting in a 79-39 loss at Sherman Gymnasium. This defeat has left the Lady Blues with a record of 2-7, while Ripon advanced to 5-2.
Ripon College came into the game with momentum after defeating Carroll University, which is ranked #13 nationally. The Lady Blues struggled offensively, managing only 25% shooting from the field and 19.6% from three-point range. In contrast, Ripon capitalized on their opportunities at the free throw line, making 25 out of 36 attempts for a shooting percentage of 69.4%. They also dominated the rebounding statistics with a significant margin of 59-26.
Anna McKee led Illinois College's efforts by scoring 12 points along with securing five rebounds and three steals.
