Illinois College falls to Cornell in conference tournament semifinals

The Illinois College volleyball team faced a defeat in the semifinals of the Midwest Conference Tournament, losing 3-0 to Cornell. The match took place at the Small Athletics and Wellness Center in Mt. Vernon, Iowa.

Illinois College, entering the tournament as the fourth seed, ended its season with a record of 14-15. Meanwhile, Cornell, holding the top seed position, advanced further with an 18-11 record.

Cornell managed to control the match consistently, leveraging strong defensive plays to secure their victory over Illinois College.

Ella Ausmus stood out for Illinois College with eight kills. Teammates Alyssa Burglund and Delani Klaas contributed four kills each. Senior Alex Johnson led defensively with 12 digs for her team.
