The Illinois College women's basketball team encountered a challenging game on Saturday, resulting in an 88-49 defeat against Ripon College. This outcome adjusts Illinois College's record to 5-10 overall and 2-4 in conference play, while Ripon's record improves to 10-4 overall and 4-1 in the conference.

Ripon maintained control throughout the match, achieving a season-high score of 89 points. Illinois College struggled with shooting accuracy, managing only 32% from the field and 21% from three-point range. The Lady Blues were significantly outperformed in rebounds, with Ripon securing a total of 60 rebounds compared to Illinois College's 28, including 28 offensive rebounds for Ripon.

Anna McKee was the leading scorer for Illinois College with ten points, successfully making two out of four three-point attempts. Ashlyn Wightman contributed eight points along with two blocks and four steals.

Ashlyn Wightman is approaching a personal milestone as she is now just 25 points away from joining the prestigious 1,000-point club at Illinois College.

Looking ahead, the Lady Blues will travel on Wednesday to face Knox College in another Midwest Conference matchup scheduled for 5:30 pm.
