Abby Stevens and Lauren Sinclair achieved victories for the Illinois College women's swimming team in a dual meet against Monmouth. Despite their efforts, the Fighting Scots won the event with a score of 105-66.
Stevens excelled in the 1,000-yard freestyle, finishing with a time of 11:55.04. Sinclair claimed victory in the 50-yard freestyle, completing it in 28.45 seconds.
In addition to Stevens' performance, Illinois College's Lady Blues secured the top three positions in the 1,000-yard freestyle. Abbey Glaser came second with a time of 12:23.58, followed by Delaney Goddard at 12:42.37.
Stevens also earned a second-place finish in the 500-yard freestyle, recording a time of 5:54.03.
The Lady Blues are scheduled to compete next against North Central in Naperville, Illinois on Saturday at 2:00 p.m.
