Illinois College men's swimming secures ninth consecutive victory against North Central

The Illinois College men's swimming and diving team secured a victory over North Central with a score of 151-71 in a dual meet held at the Central High School Pool in Naperville, Illinois. This win advances the Blueboys to an undefeated 9-0 record for the dual season.

The team saw six different individuals achieving victories, including two athletes who won multiple events. Cooper Meyer excelled in both the 1-meter (201.80) and 3-meter (183.90) diving events, setting a new school record with his performance in the latter. Eli Eberle also achieved double victories by winning the 100-yard freestyle in 52.55 seconds and the 200-yard individual medley in 2:08.65.

Additional individual wins were claimed by Scottie Nicotra in the 100-yard backstroke (58.27), Scott Sosnowski in the 50-yard freestyle (24.04), John Masiliunas in the 200-yard backstroke (2:08.60), and Nathen Trachta in the 100-yard butterfly (57.54 seconds).

The Blueboys also dominated both relay events during the meet. The team of Trachta, Meyer, Eberle, and Nicotra took first place in the 400-yard medley relay with a time of 3:42.95. Later, Nicotra, Sosnowski, Masiliunas, and Trachta concluded their successful day by winning the 800-yard freestyle relay with a time of 7:48.59.

Looking ahead, Illinois College will host Millikin at Coultas Natatorium on Saturday to conclude this portion of their season's schedule.
