The Illinois College men's swimming and diving team concluded their dual season with an unblemished record following a 117-79 win over Millikin. The competition took place on Saturday at Coultas Natatorium in Jacksonville, Illinois.
This victory marks the Blueboys' tenth consecutive win, securing a 10-0 overall record for the season.
Eli Eberle and Cade Emerick led the team with standout performances. Eberle claimed first place in both the 50-yard freestyle, finishing in 22.53 seconds, and the 100-yard freestyle, with a time of 50.22 seconds. Emerick secured victories in the 200-yard freestyle at 1:55.80 and the 500-yard freestyle at 5:18.60.
Scottie Nicotra also contributed to the team's success by winning the 400-yard individual medley with a time of 4:39.88.
In relay events, the Blueboys excelled as well. The team comprising John Masiliunas, Cooper Meyer, Eli Eberle, and Scottie Nicotra won the 400-yard medley relay with a time of 3:45.56. Additionally, Eberle teamed up with Scott Sosnowski, Nicotra, and Nathen Trachta to clinch victory in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:32.28.
Looking ahead, Illinois College will compete at the Midwest Conference Championships scheduled for February 21-23 at Grinnell.
