Nolan Decker has been recognized as the Midwest Conference Baseball Positional Performer of the Week, according to an announcement by the league. This is the first time Decker has received this accolade, and it is also notable as he is the first Blueboy to win since Adam Passmore did in March of last season.

Decker, who hails from Jacksonville, delivered an impressive performance in Illinois College's season opener. He went 4-for-7 at bat, including a grand slam and a double. Over the course of the game, he accumulated eight RBIs and scored three times.

The Blueboys are set to play against Greenville University on Wednesday at Robert E. Smith Field at 1:00 PM before they head to Florida for spring break.
