The Blueboys faced Greenville University in a non-conference baseball game at Robert E. Smith Field, resulting in a 7-6 loss for the visitors. This marks their first road game of the season, leaving them with a record of 1-2, while Greenville improved to 3-3.

Greenville gained an early advantage, leading 4-0 after five innings. Adam Passmore brought the Blueboys back into contention with a three-run home run in the sixth inning, narrowing the gap to one run. Despite this effort, Greenville extended their lead with another run in the bottom of the sixth.

The Blueboys took advantage of defensive errors and passed balls by Greenville in the seventh inning to briefly take a 6-5 lead. However, Rhett Pennington's solo home run in the eighth inning allowed Greenville to regain control and secure their victory.

Charlie Lardi started as pitcher for IC, completing five innings and allowing four earned runs while striking out eight batters. Offensively, Passmore's three-run homer was a highlight for IC, with Louie Bartletti and Ryne Mapes each contributing two runs.

Looking ahead, the Blueboys will travel to Florida for their annual spring break trip. They are set to play against Saint Mary's University (Minn.) in Winter Haven, Florida, with a doubleheader starting at 8:00 a.m. Central Time.
