Illinois College esports team defeated by Michigan State in riveting SSBU battle

Illinois College's Esports team faced a challenging match against Michigan State University in a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate crew battle. The match concluded with a 0-3 defeat for Illinois College.

Theo Biela opened the lineup but was quickly defeated by Zammo's Little Mac, taking three stocks without reply. Lucas Schultz, on his collegiate debut, managed to take a single stock before his elimination. Devin Ussery also took one stock but lost all three of his own.

Jake Petrovich delivered a remarkable performance for Illinois College. He concluded Zammo's final stock and took three stocks against Pikz's Aegis before being eliminated. Petrovich then swept all three of Ha1o's Falco stocks without any loss, but faced Fair's Banjo and was eliminated without taking a stock.

In the final leg, Julian Luaders managed to take two stocks from Fair's Banjo before being eliminated with one stock remaining, finalizing the 3-0 loss for Illinois College.

Illinois College has now completed their regular season of the MEC SSBU. They aim to finish strong in the upcoming playoffs, with the date and opponents yet to be announced.
