Aleese Trimingham and Haley Garrett achieved notable success during the True Blue Invite held at England Stadium in Jacksonville, Illinois. The muddy conditions did not hinder their performances as they each emerged victorious in two events.
Trimingham secured wins in the 100-meter hurdles, completing the race in 14.87 seconds, and the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:07.19. Haley Garrett also excelled, winning the 100 meters in 12.43 seconds and the 200 meters in 25.60 seconds.
McKenzie Murray followed Garrett closely, taking second place in both races, finishing the 100 meters in 12.63 seconds and the 200 meters in 26.05 seconds.
Brooke Oakley earned third place in the high jump, clearing a height of 1.48 meters, while Morgan Carino also achieved a third-place finish in the steeple chase with a time of 12:54.53.
The Lady Blues received additional third-place finishes from Kami Rhoades in the 200 meters, clocking in at 27.70 seconds, and in the 400 meters with a time of 1:02.77.
Patricia Rivera took fourth in the 400-meter hurdles in 1:20.45. Lacie Schultz secured fourth place in the long jump, reaching a distance of 4.83 meters.
The Lady Blues are set to compete next at the Greenville Select meet on Saturday.
