Illinois College women achieve two runner-up finishes at Greenville Select

The Illinois College women's track and field team secured two runner-up positions at the Greenville Select Meet, which took place at the John Strahl Athletic Complex in Greenville, Illinois.

Deja Anderson excelled in the long jump, achieving a second-place finish with a leap measuring 5.53 meters. Keyleigh Thomas also delivered a strong performance in the javelin, securing second place with a throw that reached 31.93 meters.

Adding to the field event successes, Natalie Hasting finished fifth in the hammer throw, achieving a mark of 40.85 meters. The team's efforts extended to the track events, where Aleese Trimingham secured a fifth-place finish in the 100-meter hurdles with a completion time of 15.50 seconds. Additionally, the 4x100-meter relay team earned a fifth-place position with a time of 48.15 seconds.

The Lady Blues will continue their season at the Rose-Hulman Twilight Meet in Terre Haute, Indiana, where they are scheduled to compete at 4:30 p.m.
