Illinois College men's track team achieves top results at meet

The Illinois College men's track and field team participated in the Augustana Meet of Champions at the Knowlton Outdoor Athletic Complex in Rock Island, Illinois. The team secured six top 10 finishes.

Dylan Doss led the team with significant performances, including a second-place finish in the 100 meters with a time of 10.439 seconds, closely following the winning time of 10.432 seconds. Doss also placed third in the long jump, reaching 7.12 meters, and participated in the 4 x 100-meter relay alongside Jaden Saunders, Adam Hernandez, and Blake Larson, completing the event in 41.70 seconds to finish third.

Adam Hernandez achieved a fourth-place finish in the 110-meter hurdles, clocking a time of 14.86 seconds. The Blueboys concluded the day with a fifth-place performance in the 4 x 400-meter relay. Doss, Saunders, Drew Cushman, and Hernandez posted a time of 3:22.45.

Additionally, Mark Flores contributed to the team's achievements by finishing eighth in the javelin with a throw of 46.43 meters.

The Blueboys will divide their efforts next weekend, with some athletes competing at the Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa, while others travel to Galesburg, Illinois, for the Knox Invite.
