Aleese Trimingham led the Illinois College women's track and field team to success at the Augustana Meet of Champions. The event took place on Thursday and Friday at the Knowlton Outdoor Athletic Complex in Rock Island, Illinois.
Trimingham won the 100-meter hurdles, finishing in 14.74 seconds. She also joined Kami Rhoades, McKenzie Murray, and Brooke Oakley to secure third place in the 4 x 400-meter relay, setting a new school record with a time of 4:05.10.
Deja Anderson had a notable performance, finishing fourth in the long jump with a distance of 5.35 meters. She also participated in the 4 x 100-meter relay, alongside Murray, Fynesse Jones, and Haley Garrett, placing fifth with a time of 48.58 seconds.
Maddie Benson contributed by setting a school record and placing sixth in the pole vault, clearing a height of 3.45 meters.
Looking ahead, the Illinois College Lady Blues will divide their team for the upcoming weekend. Part of the squad will compete at the Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa, while another group will participate in the Knox Invite in Galesburg, Illinois.
