The Illinois College women's track and field team participated in the Augustana Midwest Twilight Qualifier at the Austin E. Knowlton Outdoor Athletic Complex in Rock Island, Illinois. The event took place on Wednesday.
Athlete Aleese Trimingham represented the Lady Blues in both the 100 and 400-meter hurdles. She achieved a time of 14.95 seconds in the 100-meter hurdles and completed the 400-meter hurdles in 1:03.85, finishing third. Her performance in the 400-meter hurdles was notable as it marked the second-best time in school history, closely following her own record set at last week's Midwest Conference Championships.
Keyleigh Thomas also competed for Illinois College, achieving a distance of 35.40 meters in the javelin throw.
The competition will continue tomorrow with IC's Natalie Hasting participating in the discus event.
