The Illinois College Rocket League team secured a 4–0 victory over the University of Illinois in NECC play on Wednesday night in Jacksonville, Illinois.
The Blueboys started strong with a 7–0 shutout in Game 1. The University of Illinois made adjustments for the following games, but Illinois College managed to hold onto narrow wins of 3–2 and 2–1 in Games 2 and 4. In Game 3, the Blueboys regained momentum with a decisive 6–2 win, completing the sweep.
Illinois College's roster showed balanced contributions throughout the series. Lucas Barry led scoring with eight goals, also recording two assists and four saves. Dwight Duijneveld added five goals and six assists. Glenn Conway anchored the defense with nine saves while contributing five goals and four assists.
