HSHS St. John’s Hospital will host a High School Healthcare Bootcamp on December 30, aimed at juniors and seniors who are considering careers in health care. The event offers students an opportunity to learn about various hospital roles and participate in hands-on skills sessions with professionals.
“This job shadowing experience is a great opportunity for students interested in choosing a career in health care to learn about the different roles at our hospital and experience hands-on skills sessions with our health care professionals,” said Ericka Mulroy, Nursing Professional Development Specialist for Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS).
During the bootcamp, students can meet directly with HSHS employment specialists to discuss available opportunities in the field, providing early exposure to healthcare careers before graduation.
The program is free for participants due to support from HSHS St. John’s Foundation. Applications are open now for the Winter 2025 session, which takes place on December 30.
