Village of Pawnee Board of Trustees met June 1.

Here is the minutes provided by the Board:

Call to Order:

President Clarke called the meeting to order at 6:03pm.

Roll Call:

Village Clerk, Devona Martin, called roll

Trustees in attendance: Cara Burnley, David Skinner, Troy Squires, President Clarke

Trustees absent: Josh Leach, Phillip Thompson, Patrick Murphy

Also in attendance: Dan Cobb, Marty Hinton w/REA

Dan Cobb appeared before the Board. He purchased the lot north of his home. He is planning to build an addition and the power to the security light is currently located right where he wants to build the addition. He would like to have the power line moved. The power line runs down the property line and only feeds the security light. He does not want the light abandoned but would like the electrical line or street light moved. There is a 5' easement recorded in Sangamon County in 1973. Marty Hinton with REA thinks the maximum cost to move the power would be $3,000. Consensus was that the Village is unable to pay to have the light moved, however, he could move the line and have it run diagonally. They will shut the light off for several weeks while wire is moved.

New Business:

Resolution 17-07 - A Resolution Granting a Special Event Liquor License - This will allow Locals to sell alcohol in the Center Park pavilion on the square for Bike Night on June 2, 2017.

Motion made by Trustee Burnley to accept Resolution 17-07 - A Resolution Granting a Special Event Liquor License

Motion Carried: (4-0)

Resolution 17-08 - A Resolution Granting A Special Event Liquor License - This will allow Locals to sell alcohol in the Center Park pavilion on the square for the poker run on June 10, 2017.
