Graduates earn 1,709 degrees, certificates from Lincoln Land Community College

About 31.9 percent of the 1,709 degrees and certificates handed out by the Lincoln Land Community College in 2016-17 were to students in Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies and Humanities programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Springfield conferred 545 associate's degrees in Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies and Humanities programs.

But the single most popular program was for a associate's degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies. Data shows the school gave out 365 associate's degrees in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies, followed by 241 associate's degrees in Biological and Physical Sciences and 218 certificates in Nursing Assistant/Aide and Patient Care Assistant/Aide.

The college enrolled 5,744 students for 2016-17, all of whom were enrolled in undergraduate programs.
