City of Springfield issued the following announcement on June 29.

The following street will be under construction beginning Monday, July 2 for asphalt paving (patching),

weather permitting.

• Capitol Avenue (Stange – Amos)

• Cook Street (MacArthur – State)

• Feldkamp Avenue (Lawrence – Washington)

• Monroe Street (Chatham Road – 600ft east)

Please note the eastbound lanes on Monroe will be closed at Chatham Road Monday,

July 2 and Tuesday, July 3. Alternate routes are Washington Street or Lawrence Avenue.

Westbound lanes will be open

The following streets will be under construction for concrete work, weather permitting. Work will include

removing and replacing portions of curb and gutter and updating accessibility ramps on sidewalks:

• 4th Street (Broad - Ash)

• Ash Street (MLK – Taylor)

• Bonneville Drive

• Douglas Avenue (S Grand – Williams)

• Holmes Avenue (Cedar – S. Grand)

• Louise Lane

• Lucerne Drive

• Ocala Lane

• Outer Park Drive (HyVee-MacArthur)

• Luke’s Court

• Mary’s Court

• Vine (2nd – 3rd)

• Whittier (Laurel – South Grand

• Woodland Drive (MacArthur – Walnut)

The following streets will be under construction for the city’s sidewalk program, weather permitting.

• Cherylwood Drive

• Cook Street (Eastdale – Livingston)

• Huntington Road (W. Lake Shore – Moorgate)

• Kent Drive (W. Lake Shore – Moorgate)

• Lori Lane

• Marco Lane

• Moorgate Drive (Kent – Queensway)

• Queensway Road (W. Lake Shore – Moorgate)
