According to the report, the district expelled or suspended 239 students during the year. That equates to 3.9 percent of the 6,146 students enrolled.
Of the 167 in-school suspensions, 132 were given to boys and 35 were given to girls, all of whom were elementary or middle schoolers.
The district reported that most in-school suspensions were given for violence without physical injury. The category includes 112 incidents. There were 53 incidents of unspecified reasons. For 135 incidents, students were suspended for a day or less.
Of the 72 out-of-school suspensions, 45 were given to boys and 27 were given to girls, all of whom were elementary or middle schoolers.
