American Chamber of Commerce In Poland issued the following announcement on Oct. 1.
White & Case M. Studniarek i Wspólnicy – Kancelaria Prawna sp.k., part of the global law firm White & Case LLP, advised the Konspol Group, the leading producer and processor of poultry in Poland, in relation to the sale of its group companies to the American corporation Cargill. It was the largest transaction on Poland’s food processing and animal breeding market in 2018.
Under the agreement, both parties are obliged to close the transaction after fulfilling several conditions precedent, including obtaining the necessary regulatory approvals.
In the transaction, Cargill acquired Konspol and its product portfolio, which includes a feed production plant, 5 breeding complexes, a slaughterhouse and two production plants. Following the acquisition, Cargill, which is a global food manufacturer, will most likely continue the dynamic development of the Konspol Group.
