Lawrence University secured a 3-0 victory over the Illinois College Lady Blues women's soccer team in their regular season finale at England Stadium on Saturday. Lawrence scored twice in the opening 16 minutes, taking an early lead that they maintained for the rest of the match. The Vikings added a third goal midway through the second half.
Illinois College recorded 10 shots during the game, with Olivia Ralston leading with three attempts and Aliza Rodriguez contributing two. Goalkeeper Stella Gonzalez made four saves for the Lady Blues.
Despite the loss, Illinois College concluded its regular season with a 10-7-2 overall record and a 6-2-0 mark in Midwest Conference play. The six conference wins set a new school record, while their overall win total matches last season's squad for the second-most in program history.
The Lady Blues will participate in the Midwest Conference Tournament for the first time ever on Friday, November 7th. Details regarding tournament location, pairings, and start times will be released after all regular season games are completed on November 1st.
