Q3 2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Dupage County?

There were 80 offenders released on parole during the third quarter that live in Dupage County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Sangamon Sun.

The data shows that 73 men and seven women were released in Dupage County. Of the parolees, two were veterans, and the median age was 36. The youngest parolee was a 21-year-old man sentenced for a property crime in 2016, and the oldest was a 69-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving alcohol in 2018.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Ray Dampier. He was convicted of a crime against a person in 2000 when he was 20 years old. He is now 40.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the third quarter in each Dupage County municipality.
