The HSHS St. John’s Foundation is organizing a fundraising event called Celebrity Bartender Night on November 12 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Papa Frank’s in Springfield. The event will feature local personalities, including Brian Brennan, President and CEO of HSHS St. John’s Hospital, as well as members of the Foundation Leadership Council and nurse managers.
Funds raised during the evening will support the HSHS Child Life Program at HSHS St John’s Children’s Hospital. This program provides specialized support for young patients through child life specialists who are trained to assist children experiencing traumatic situations. Services include therapeutic programs, mobile sensory carts, procedure support, and pet therapy aimed at reducing stress and supporting recovery for children.
Ali Farmer, Director of HSHS St. John’s Foundation, said: "Our Celebrity Bartender Night is not only a fun-filled evening but also an important fundraising event that directly impacts the lives of children in our care. We encourage everyone to come out, enjoy the evening and show support for our Child Life Program.”
