Q2 2019 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Logan County?

There were 13 offenders released on parole during the second quarter of 2019 that live in Logan County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Sangamon Sun.

The data shows that 11 men and two women were released in Logan County. Of the parolees, one is a veteran, and the median age is 39. The youngest parolee was a 23-year-old man sentenced for a property crime in 2017, and the oldest was a 69-year-old woman sentenced for a property crime in 2018.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Benjamin O. Neaville. He was convicted of a crime against a person in 2015 when he was 30 years old. He is now 34.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the second quarter of 2019 in each Logan County municipality with at least one parolee in the quarter.
