BALL-CHATHAM COMMUNITY UNIT SCHOOL DISTRICT 5: GMS Designated a Banner School by the Cleveland Clinic!

Schoolnews

Ball-Chatham Community Unit School District 5 issued the following announcement on May 22.

Glenwood Middle School has been designated a “Banner School” by the Cleveland Clinic - a distinction earned by fewer than 24% of the 264 schools in ten states that participated in the Clinic’s K–12 Education School Programs this year.

About Glenwood Middle School, the announcement stated, in part: “It takes ambitious teachers and encouraging administrators to deliver these opportunities to students. The effort Bob Cox invested in implementing the Worldwide Classroom® and Adventures in Health Science and Medicine® programs and the support you [Christine Lehnen] provided in the process demonstrate an exceptional commitment to student enrichment.

“This year has posed unprecedented challenges to educational organizations across the country and around the world. The resolve, ingenuity, and adaptability you have shown in response to COVID-19 were evident long before this pandemic, however, and have distinguished Glenwood Middle School as a 2019–2020 Cleveland Clinic Banner School. This award recognizes your noteworthy success in leveraging community resources to advance student learning.”
