Village of La Grange Board of Fire and Police Commissioners met March 11.

Here is the minutes provided by the board:

1. CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL

A meeting of the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners (BOFPC) of the Village of La Grange was held in the lower level conference room of the Village Hall and was called to order at 6:04 p.m.

PRESENT: (and constituting a quorum): Chairman Hoffenberg and Commissioner Boersma.

ABSENT: Commissioner Levato

ALSO PRESENT: Andrianna Peterson, Village Manager; Kurt Bluder, Police Chief; Terry Vavra, Fire Chief; and Kevin Noreikis, Administrative Intem.

2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES- FEBRUARY 11. 2O2O

The minutes of the February 11,2020 meeting were presented for approval. After consideration, it was moved by Commissioner Hoffenberg and seconded by Commissioner Boersma that the minutes be approved. Motion carried.

3. BUSINESS AT HAND

Chief Bluder reported that based on the results ofthe background investigation and results ofother pre-employment tests, he was recommending the appointment of Casey Gomorczak to the position of Probationary Police Officer. If approved by the Commission, Mr. Gomorczak would begin the police academy on March 30.

After discussion and consideration, a motion was made by Commissioner Hoffenberg to appoint Casey Gomorczak to the position of Probationary Police Officer, seconded by Commissioner Boersma. Motion carried.

None.

6. PUBLIC COMMENT

None.

7. CLOSEDSESSION

None.

8. ADJOURNMENT

Since there was no further business before the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners, it was moved by Commissioner Boersma and seconded by Commissioner Hoffenberg that the meeting was adjourned at 6:13 p.m.
