Analysis: Lincoln pays $4.46 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Lincoln Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 82.4 percent of the $892,620 the Lincoln Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $4.46 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Sangamon Sun analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Lincoln contributed $735,297 to the fund, which saw a $105,547 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $164,796, or 18.5 percent, in 2018.
