In recognition of Memorial Day, Rep. Mike Murphy (R-Springfield) applauded local constituent, Isaac Dahl, for stepping forward to serve the country as he prepares to enter basic training with the Illinois National Guard this month.
Isaac is the brother of Clifford Dahl, who is a familiar face on the House Floor.
“Yesterday we were able to honor Clifford Dahl, one of Dave’s sons,” Murphy said. “But I’d also like to mention a couple of things about Isaac, his other son. He's got a busy, busy, couple weeks coming up. On June 3 he will be in front of the board of review to become an Eagle Scout. On June 5 he will have graduation and on June 21 he will enter basic training to begin his career in the Illinois National Guard. So, I would just like to recognize another one of our outstanding young men and women who have decided to continue to serve this great nation.”
Apart from being welcomed at the House this month, Clifford was also previously recognized at the Senate in 2016.
Senate Republican Leader Dan McConchie (R-Hawthorn Woods) also welcomed Clifford at his office.
Isaac and Clifford are sons of Statehouse reporter Dave Dahl.
