American Chamber of Commerce In Poland issued the following announcement on Oct. 14
AmCham Monthly Meeting in October was focused on cooperation in the line of science-business. We host Mr. Piotr Dardziński, President of the Łukasiewicz Research Network (ŁRN), the third-largest research network in Europe.
The Łukasiewicz Research Network is a unique concept for forcing collaboration of scientific institutions, and over four thousand engineers and scientists, which are ready to run joint projects with enterprises. The Network integrates 32 scientific institutes in 12 cities across Poland, providing attractive, comprehensive, and competitive expertise for business in automation, chemicals, biomedicine, ICT, materials, and advanced manufacturing.
The Łukasiewicz Research Network is a vital part of the scientific community that works to promote business and support the development of Polish companies in four primary areas of interest: sustainable economy and energy, smart and clean mobility, digital transformation, and healthy living.
Mr. Dardziński highlighted that the Network has been taking research to an entirely new, global level, increasing the firms’ chances to secure international grants. The financial sources for projects are from the domestic budget (National Center of Research and Development) and foreign programs such as Horizon Europe, the EU’s essential funding program strengthening the impact of research and innovation in developing, supporting, and implementing EU policies.
We were told the 2.5 months project implementation model that is currently developing within the ŁRN and drives majority of business cases on a daily practice as joint projects with 238 companies. The representatives of the ŁRN underlined that there are 1553 ongoing projects right now in the ŁRN and invites American business community in Poland to closer cooperation with Polish science.
