Illinois State Rep. Tim Butler (R-Springfield) has received support from the Illinois chapter of one of the largest motorcycle and rider rights organizations in the world known as A Brotherhood Aimed Towards Education (A.B.A.T.E.).
In an October 11 Facebook post, Butler announced he'd been endorsed by ABATE of Illinois.
"Thank you ABATE of Illinois, Inc.," Butler wrote in the post.
Butler shared the announcement post from ABATE of Illinois, which read: "State Representative Tim Butler was the 2021 ABATE of Illinois State Representative of the Year and has worked hard for motorcyclists in Illinois. He clearly has the endorsement of the ABATE of Illinois PAC. Vote Tim Butler on November 8th! #Election2022 #ABATEIL"
This wasn't the only endorsement Butler has received. The Illinois Manufacturers Association recently threw its support behind the representative. The Sangamon Sun reported last month that Butler acknowledged he'd received a 97% rating for his legislative work from the association. The Illinois Manufacturers Association rated lawmakers based on their support for the state's manufacturing industry.
According to Ballotpedia, Butler defeated his Republican challenger Kent Gray with 73.6% of the votes during the June primary and became the Republican nominee to represent the state's 95th House District in the upcoming general election.
