I Was Honored to Speak with Leadership Springfield

It was an honor to speak with Leadership Springfield today with a few of my colleagues from the General Assembly. Providing community leadership programs to professionals and local students will have a lasting impact in our community.

During the event, various topics were discussed, including leadership development, agriculture, cultural intelligence, education, healthcare, homeland security, local and state government, team building, tourism, and technology and innovation. These topics are crucial for the growth and development of our community, and it was encouraging to see how Leadership Springfield is addressing them.

In particular, I would like to extend my gratitude to Mike Murphy, the President and CEO of The Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce, for hosting such a superb program. His dedication and commitment to fostering leadership skills in our community are commendable.

In addition to the Leadership Springfield event, I would like to take this opportunity to highlight the work being done by the Literacy Improves Future Endeavors (LIFE) working group in Illinois. This group is focused on improving literacy and outcomes for all students, and their efforts are truly making a difference.
