The Illinois College men's and women's swim teams recently participated in the Beloit College Quad Meet, showcasing notable individual performances.
For the men's team, Nathen Trachta secured a first-place finish in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 50.04 seconds. Cooper Meyer achieved his first career win in the men's one-meter diving event, scoring 115.55 points.
The Lady Blues also had significant contributions from several swimmers. Marjori Russo excelled with victories in both the 100-yard freestyle (58.35) and the 50-yard freestyle (27.03). Russo also claimed an impressive win in the 50-yard freestyle skins race, edging out her competitors by just .01 seconds.
Jenna Kenning delivered strong performances with first-place finishes in the 50-yard backstroke (29.97), 100-yard backstroke (1:04.18), and 50-yard butterfly (29.38). Taylor Ashbaugh added to the team's success with a victory in the 100-yard breaststroke, finishing at 1:17.17.
Both teams are set to compete next at the Principia College Mid-Season Invite on Friday, December 2nd, and Saturday, December 3rd.
