This morning, State Representative Mike Coffey visited Selvaggio Steel, Inc. in Springfield to observe the company's impact on the local steel industry. The family-owned business has been operating since 1957 and is known for its precision craftsmanship. It has contributed to remodeling projects at notable sites such as the Illinois State Fairgrounds, Springfield Clinic, and the Capitol Complex.
Rep. Coffey expressed gratitude towards Mark and Stephen for providing a tour of their facility in Central Illinois. He acknowledged Selvaggio Steel, Inc. as one of the most trusted family-owned steel shops in Illinois, highlighting its production capacity, advanced technology, and reputation for accuracy and professionalism.
In addition to visiting Selvaggio Steel, Rep. Coffey toured CWLP (City Water Light & Power) in Springfield. During this visit, he gained insights into operational processes and met with employees who are pivotal to energy developments for the 95th District and Illinois.
