Illinois College's Josh Harris has been recognized as the Midwest Conference Men's Basketball Performer of the Week, according to an announcement by the league.
In a recent game against Knox, Harris delivered an outstanding performance with a career-high 36 points, alongside five rebounds and two assists. His efforts helped Illinois College overcome a 10-point deficit in the second half to secure a victory and clinch the regular season conference championship. Harris achieved this on 13-21 shooting from the field, including 5-7 from three-point range.
Over the final two games of the regular season, Harris maintained an average of 31 points per game while shooting .639 (23-36) from the field and .643 (9-14) from beyond the arc.
This marks Harris's second recognition this season for his performances. The junior hailing from Maywood, Illinois was previously honored on November 20th.
Illinois College concluded their regular season with a record of 21-4 and is set to host the Midwest Conference Tournament at Sherman Gymnasium. The Blueboys will face Ripon in Friday's opening semifinal game at 5:00 p.m., followed by Grinnell versus Beloit at 7:00 p.m. The winners will compete in Saturday's title game at 3:00 p.m.
