Illinois College's Jake Mazrimas has been recognized as the Midwest Conference Men's Basketball Performer of the Week, according to an announcement made by the league. This marks the third time this season that Mazrimas has received this honor.

Mazrimas delivered impressive performances last week, averaging 27.5 points and 14 rebounds over two games. He started with a notable 20-point and 21-rebound game at Grinnell. He then followed up with a strong showing in his regular season home finale against Lake Forest, scoring 35 points while shooting 14-19 from the field and making six out of nine three-point attempts. For the week, he maintained a shooting accuracy of .594 from the field.

In Wednesday's game at Grinnell, Mazrimas achieved his 900th career rebound, becoming Illinois College's first player to reach both 1,600 career points and 900 career rebounds. Additionally, he holds the school's record for most three-point field goals made, currently standing at 236.

The Blueboys have an overall record of 20-4 and are 12-3 in conference play. They have an opportunity to secure at least a share of the league title in their final regular season game on Wednesday against Knox. The game is set to begin at 5:30 p.m.
