Illinois College swimmers Edwards and Stevens shine despite team loss

Julie Edwards and Abby Stevens secured victories for the Illinois College women's swimming team during their dual meet against Monmouth at the Coultas Natatorium in Jacksonville, Illinois. Despite their efforts, the Fighting Scots emerged victorious with a score of 126.5 to 60.5.

Edwards claimed her win in the 400-yard individual medley, finishing with a time of 5:17.26. Stevens achieved victory in the 500-yard freestyle, completing it in 5:49.41. Additionally, Stevens placed second in the 1650-yard freestyle with a time of 20:10.05, while Abbey Glaser finished third at 20:33.92.

The Lady Blues are set to compete next at the Beloit Mid-Season Invitational from November 21 to November 23.
