On February 11, 2025, Rep. Budzinski commented on proposed tariffs, stating "Tariffs are an important tool in our toolbox, but a 10% tariff on energy imports from Canada – one of our closest trading partners – would hurt our farmers."
Later that day, she invited the public to join her at an event discussing President Trump's Executive Orders and Elon Musk's role in government affairs: "Join me TONIGHT at 5 PM CT as I answer your questions about President Trump's Executive Orders and Elon Musk's involvement in our government."
