On March 5, 2025, Rep. Budzinski tweeted about her involvement with over 150 Democrats to defend Social Security. She emphasized their commitment against efforts by Trump and Elon Musk to alter these benefits: "I joined @RepJohnLarson and more than 150 Democrats in defending Social Security. We won’t let Trump and Elon Musk gut Social Security and take away these hard earned benefits from nearly 70 million Americans."

Later that day, she expressed her support for workers' rights as a union member herself.
