Nikki Budzinski, currently serving as a U.S. Congress representative for Illinois' 13th district, shared her views on various topics through a series of tweets on March 21, 2025. Budzinski, who succeeded Rodney Davis in 2023, addressed issues ranging from budget cuts to historical civil rights events and local sports.

In a tweet posted at 18:05 UTC, Budzinski expressed concern over proposed Republican budget cuts. She stated that "There is no reality where Republicans can reach their proposed budget cuts without crippling Medicaid — devastating our hospital systems and the more than 200,000 people in #IL13 who rely on Medicaid for lifesaving care."

Later that day at 19:21 UTC, she commemorated the historic Selma to Montgomery march of 1965. She tweeted: "On this day in 1965, thousands of demonstrators began their 5 day, 54 mile march from Selma to Montgomery to demand their right to vote. Their courage and determination changed history for the better and continues to inspire us to fight for the future we want for our nation."

Finally, at 23:32 UTC, Budzinski showed support for her alma mater's sports team with a brief message saying "Go Illini!"
