The Sherman Public Library Board of Trustees met earlier this month to discuss director candidates and other matters.
The board said candidates are still being considered for the director position. The board said at a previous meeting that four candidates were chosen to undergo interviews, which were held recently. The board discussed the interviews and the candidates during this meeting.
The board also discussed its policy on groups meeting in the library, upcoming special library day events, the Toddler Lap Sit Story Time program and plans to install a new copier. The board also discussed how it has been waiting on a price quote for some new shelves.
The board also discussed using the Edge Assessment for planning purposes, and it reviewed the library's notary, test-proctoring, book-lending and personnel policies.
