At a meeting this week, the Sangamon County Road and Bridge Committee was expected to consider a resolution to renew the annual agreement with the Springfield-Sangamon County Regional Planning Commssion.
The committee also was expected to consider resolutions to approve the low bid for a culvert-replacement project on Mansion Road in New Berlin Township, approve a Federal Aid Agreement with the Illinois Department of Transportation for the construction of the Sangamon Valley Trail, designate Woodside Road (County Highway 23) as a Class III route and approve a supplemental engineering agreement with Hanson Professional Services.
The committee also was expected to approve a letter of intent for the installation and maintenance of street lights on Illinois Route 104 at Waverly Road (County Highway 10).
The committee also was expected to consider hiring a highway maintainer and discuss a trail-sponsorship proposal.
